SOLACE
In these difficult days for Iran, we face events that defy words. Art has long been a refuge for emotional expression and a mirror of the artist’s response to their time.
It is because of this that we gather.
As a collective of Iranian artists living in Toronto, we come together not to reproduce violence, but to create a space for empathy and solace. We gather to share our pain, a grief lodged in the throat, resurfacing with every new headline.
We continue to mourn the lives lost, those who love Iran and want to fight for freedom. This exhibition is an act of standing together: alongside one another and alongside memories that will not fade.
By placing our works side by side, we transform mourning into a shared experience, turning sorrow into solidarity, and from loss, creating space for reflection, dialogue, and presence.
