Cylla Von Tiedemann

The body and nature belong to the same fabric. They breathe, they decay, they carry memory. A personal sense of grief for what is vanishing, and from a deep love for the body as a place of connection and reflection.

Cylla von Tiedemann is a Toronto-based photographer and visual artist with an extensive and internationally recognized body of work. Best known for her dance portraiture and live theatre photography, she has collaborated with leading cultural institutions including the National Ballet of Canada, Stratford Festival, Mirvish Productions, Toronto DanceTheatre, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and Yo-Yo Ma’s Silk Road Project.
